Pour célébrer ce moment marquant, le Goethe-Institut er MUTEK organisent une soirée techno... à la mode de Berlin en 89. Cette soirée aux accents de Berlin 89 mettra en vedette l'artiste et promoteur est-allemand Wolle XDP, ainsi que deux artistes associés au label Chain Reaction, Substance & Vainqueur, qui présenteront leur projet "Scion Versions". Venez revivre cette page d'histoire dans une ambiance "vintage"! Wolle XDP Né en 1967 à Leipzig, Wolfram Neugebauer, mieux connu sous le nom de Wolle XDP, vit à Berlin depuis 1979. De 1982 à 1985, il est danseur de breakdance et vice-champion de la RDA à plusieurs reprises dans cette discipline. De 1984 à 1986, il suit une formation de technicien et décorateur dans différents théâtres d’État de Berlin-Est. De 1987 à 1991, il organise des activités au centre culturel SEZ (Sport- und Erholungszentrum) de Berlin-Est. Il travaille à son propre compte depuis 1991. Wolle XDP fait partie des organisateurs des premiers partys techno à Berlin, dont les légendaires soirées Tekknozid, après la chute du mur en 1989 et ses installations son-lumière-espace dans des entrepôts de Berlin-Est deviennent des standards dans les parties techno en Allemagne. Il fonde le club Bunker, considéré par le New York Times comme le « hardest club on earth », en plus de participer à la réouverture du Tresor en 1994 et de travailler dans les clubs Discount et Pfefferbank. SCION Composé des musiciens Rene Löwe et Peter Kuschnereit, le duo Scion fait paraître en 1995 Emerge 12“, le premier disque de la célèbre étiquette Chain Reaction. Après le succès remporté par ce premier album, Löwe et Kuschnereit poursuivent leur carrière respective tout en se produisant régulièrement ensemble lors de festivals. To commemorate this explosive historic event, the Goethe-Institut and MUTEK organize a night of techno.. the way it was back in Berlin in '89. This vintage evening will highlight German artist Wolle XDP, as well as Chain Reaction's Substance & Vainqueur presenting Scion Versions. Wolle XDP Born in 1967 in Leipzig, Wolfram Neugebauer, better known under the name Wolle XDP, has lived in Berlin since 1979. From 1982 to 1985, he was a breakdancer and was vice-champion of the GDR numerous times in this discipline. From 1984 to 1986 he studied to be a technician and decorator in various state theatres in East Berlin. From 1987 to 1991, he organized activities at the cultural centre SEZ (Sport- und Erholungszentrum) in East Berlin. He has been a freelancer since 1991. Wolle XDP was one of the organizers of the first techno partys in Berlin. After the Wall fell in 1989, these legendary Tekknozid evenings, with its sound-light-space installations in warehouses in East Berlin, became standards for techno parties in Germany. He founded the Club Bunker, considered by the New York Times as the “hardest club on earth”, and participated in the reopening of the club Tresor in 1994 and worked in the clubs Discount and Pfefferbank. SCION German techno producers Rene Löwe and Peter Kuschnereit collaborated as Scion in 1995 for the Emerge 12”, the inaugural release by the Berlin-based Chain Reaction label. They occasionally performed live together, such as at the 2000 Detroit Electronic Music Festival, where they performed alongside reggae vocalist Tikiman. Lowe and Kuschnereit reunited in 2002 for Arrange and Process Basic Channel Tracks, a Tresor-released mix album comprised of Basic Channel tracks. In collaboration with MUTEK.
