Blue Moon Moonlight Paddle

The sun goes down at 5:01. The moon comes up at 5:11. Join us after work for the last paddle of 2009, a trip that promises to be special: under a full moon (two full moons in one month!), the last blue moon of the year. Weather permitting, this will be a trip from MBK to Lovers Point and back, taking advantage of the setting sun as we paddle west, and the full moon on the way back, paddling into the moon! When: New Years Eve, Thursday, December 31, 5:00 after work Where: MBK parking lot* What: Full moon paddle Why: wine** and ... blue cheese! Who: Since this is an evening paddle, you should probably be an experienced padddler, competent in self rescues. Dress for the conditions, with paddle float, pump, and some kind of lighting (a cylume glow stick, etc.) just in case. * Monterey Bay Kayak (google for directions) ** just a sip!
