Description
John Scott is one of Louisiana's most celebrated artists of the past 50 years. Born in New Orleans and raised in the Lower Ninth Ward, Scott attended Xavier University where he later became a professor. Scott's work was influenced by jazz and the variety of cultures present in his native city. Scott worked in a variety of media, although he is widely known for his metal sculpture, which ranged from small works to monumental public sculptures. This exhibition is organized in conjuntion with Arthur Roger Gallery in New Orleans.
