Description
Missoula Medical Aid announces the Annual Salsa Dance & Auction, Friday November 14th from 7p-11p at The Missoula Children's Theater. Tickets are $45 or $20 for students and can be purchased at www.missoulamedicalaid.net. They are also available in advance at Rockin Rudy's or The Women's Club.

There will be live music by Salsa Loca, hors d'oeuvres, drinks, a silent auction, and a live auction as well. Auction items include great art, meals, trips, and Honduran crafts picked up along the way. Every year in Honduras, Missoula Medical Aid volunteers give basic health exams to almost 6,000 people...We do dozens of surgeries....We build hundreds of chimneys to make homes safer...We buy pigs and seeds and chickens and heifers to make farms more profitable. We also dance! Come join us!! There is more information on MMA's legacy and mission at www.missoulamedicalaid.net.

What started as an initial response to Hurricane in Mitch in 1999 has turned into almost a decade of crucial medical care, preventive medicine, and agriculture consulting for this Central American country. When our hosts have spread the word that we will be visiting, more than two hundred people may be lined up when we arrive. We will arrange tables in a tiny church or school and unpack our supplies. Separate spaces are set up for primary care, dental exams and for women’s health consults and cervical cancer screenings.

Here's a chance to have a great time and honor this unique organization's ten years of good will and good work in Honduras.

Please take a moment to view MMA's award winning documentary film Collin Ruggiero at www.missoulamedicalaid.net/movie.aspx. Earlier this year, Collin's film won a Telly Award for in the Charitable Work/Non-Profit Category.
