Located in the heart of Nicollet Mall in Downtown Minneapolis, Orchestra Hall is easily recognizable by the iconic blue ventilation ducts surrounding the building. The building isn't only known for its artistic beauty outside, but inside as well, as Orchestra Hall is home to the Minnesota Orchestra and schedules many popular performances each month. While most concert halls seek to elevate themselves above concert venues with extravagant decor, the goal at Orchestra Hall is to bring people of all social statuses together for a night of great entertainment.

The many modernist fountains and sculptures in adjacent Peavy Plaza are merely just a prelude to the beauty inside Orchestra Hall. Built in 1974, the hall's aim of uniting patrons was evidenced by its simple design which has now been transformed with a modern, chic renovation that retains its simplicity. The auditorium is spacious and has considerable seating in the many balcony sections. The back wall of the stage and the ceiling are covered with large cubes that not only contribute to Orchestra Hall's superior acoustics, but are visually pleasing as well. In addition to orchestral events, this magnificent concert hall also schedules popular musicians, comedians, lecturers, and children's performers that have become popular with the people of Minneapolis.
