Papel Picado: Mexican Art of Paper Cutting

For kids entering grade 1 and up. Para estudiantes de primer grado en adelante. Veremos varios ejemplos de papel picado y hablaremos acerca de su historia y los elementos de sus diseños. Cada uno diseñaremos y crearemos una hoja, luego pegaremos las hojas en un hilo y las expondremos en la biblioteca.

We’ll look at various samples of papel picado and talk about the history and elements of design. We’ll design our own piece, cut out the design and string them all together for display at the library.
