Target Center

The Target Center is an indoor multi-purpose facility located in downtown Minneapolis, Minnesota. The Target Center took over two years to build and cost a whopping $104 million. Since opening on October 13, 1990, the Target Center Minneapolis undergone a multitude of management changes. The Target Center is currently owned by the City of Minneapolis but its daily operations are managed by AEG Facilities.

The Target Center Minneapolis is currently the home of the NBA’s Minnesota Timberwolves and the WNBA’s Minnesota Lynx. Before the teams folded in 1996, the Target Center was also home to the AFL’s Minnesota Fighting Pike and the RHI’s Minnesota Arctic Blast. The various home games of these local professional teams have been a major highlight on the Target Center schedule of events.
