Jenny Dalton taught herself how to play the piano at a young age after she fell in love with the instrument at a neighbor's house. She began writing songs on a Casio synthesizer when she was 7 years old and continued onto the ivories when her parents acquired a parlor piano at age 9. Always an appreciator of sub-culture pop, her influences come from the black chords and sonic layers of favorite artists like The Smiths, The Cure, Tori Amos, Kate Bush, Peter Murphy, Kristen Hersh and more.
