I've recently been through a rough bout of depression over the past 9 months. I lost the friendship of my life to an abusive father. I chose to go to the police with the event I whitnessed and it started a rough rollar coaster which is just begining to slow down.
But when I was in the lowest time of my depression, when I felt like no one understood my horrible ordeal and life just wasn't worth living, I discovered My Chemical Romance. I heard the music and understood the meanings. I bought the cd's and Life on a Murder Scene and I watched the documentaries and realized that they went through the same things that I was going through.
I was begining to turn to phisical and chemical abuse to ease my emotional pain. Gerard's story basicly turned my life around, he was my insiration in life. This band saved me from a horrible life.
I would do anything to go see a show and thank them for changing my warped outlook on life. Depression no longer rules my life thanks to them.

My Chemical Romance
Based in New Jersey, My Chemical Romance is an alternative pop/rock and punk-pop band that has been compared to Thursday and, to a lesser degree, Cursive. Many of their songs are loud, fast, hyper, and aggressive, but My Chemical Romance's work also tends to be melodic and pop-minded. My Chemical Romance got started in the early 2000s, when lead singer Gerard Way and drummer Matt Pelissier decided to try writing some songs together.
