Alyssa Wiener 'Life'

Many of the pieces are portraits of artists, friends, acquaintances, and lovers. I like to create my work as gifts for people close to me as a token of appreciation for journeying with me down this road of life.
Combining fantasy and realism, some of these images express my desire for the material world to drop the illusion, realize life's immense potential, and move on to higher ground. I particularly like to play with the human form, which encompasses organic shapes and vivid emotions that I often portray in my work.
Nature plays a role in much of this collection. I believe the natural world is the basis of all life and earthly consciousness, and I am very inspired by the web that connects us all. The shapes, people animals and scenes within these pieces are all just simple players on a stage called 'Life'
