Tuesday, November 25, 2008. 7pm. Nathaniel Dorsky, making films since 1964, has developed a language of cinema that concerns itself with light, mass, color and movement through the frame. He achieves an unusual kinetic energy in his editing, each image mobile yet imbued with a gravity that imparts a sense of almost mystical levitation to scenes routine and everyday. Tonight's program will include the Milwaukee premiere of three new silent 16mm films, Song and Solitude (2006), Winter (2008) and Sarabande (2008).
