Milwaukee Babywearers

I have never been to this, but here is what the website says: Welcome to Milwaukee Babywearing! We are a non-profit group that meets in the Milwaukee area to promote, educate and share information about babywearing and its benefits. Wearing your baby can be a wonderful way free up your hands for other children or tasks. Too few people realize the benefits of keeping their children close when they need it most. Although babywearing tends to be promoted as part of the Attachment Parenting philosophy, it is important to note that no matter how you choose to parent, babywearing can be integrated into your lifestyle. The focus of this group is not to discuss other parenting choices, everyone is welcome. Even if you have no experience with babywearing, if you have the desire to learn, you've come to the right place. * Has your baby outgrown your Bjorn or Snuggli? * Are you a new or experienced parent looking for another way to carry your child? * Do you have a sling that you don't know how to use? * Are you an experienced babywearer? * Interested in learning more about babywearing? If so please join us for an informal class where we will be demonstrating how to use various carriers and talk about the benefits of wearing your baby. We will answer your questions and help with your carriers. We are hoping to build a lending library that we can bring to meetings so that there will be opportunity to check out different types of carriers. New, experienced or soon-to-be parents are welcome. Children are welcome to attend with their parents. Please bring any carriers that you need help with to the meetings! Meetings are held in the Village Center North Meeting Room. The first half an hour of each meeting we will demo each of the 4 major categories of baby-carriers. Then from 11-12 experienced baby-wearers can help newbies with any questions they have about any of the carriers.
