Sean Connery (Agent 007) arrives in Istanbul to retrieve a top-secret Russian decoding machine. Distractions abound: a sexy Russian double agent (Daniela Bianchi), a lovely assassin (Lotte Lenya) with switchblade shoes, and finally the crazed killer (Robert Shaw).
