New Year's Day - Starve Hollow State Recreation Area

For those of us who can get up early the morning after New Year's Eve.... Part of the Jackson-Washington State Forest (in which Knobstone Trail lies), the Starve Hollow State Recreation Area offers us about ten miles of what should be some knobby and cardio enhancing hiking, much like the Delaney/Spurgeon Hollow Loops that lie to the southwest. In January we will also hopefully come across some vistas (look at the views!) since the leaves will be no longer on the trees. Carpool - meet between 8:15 and 8:30 at the Kroger's in Lawrenceburg, Indiana (address for Kroger's is 880 W. Eads Parkway). We will leave at 8:30 sharp. It will take about 90 minutes to get to the trailhead from the Kroger's parking lot. Grub - We will visit Chili's in Seymour. Safer than some of the other places close by and pretty good burgers.
