Tin Can Caravan: Lebanon, MO to Baxter Springs, KS {e_name}amp; Miami, OK

Tues. Sept. 18 This ticket provides detailed travel itinerary along Rte. 66, inclusion in the Tin Can Caravan and priority admission for one person to the evening's event. The musicians on this segment of the trip include Fred Eaglesmith Band, Roger Marin, Gordie Tentrees, Bill Poss, Tif Ginn Sisters, Audrey Auld and Jon Langford. In the morning, we'll depart Lebanon, MO, drive through Marshfield, hometown of Edwin Hubbell, and home to a 1/4-size model of the Hubbell Telescope on the courthouse lawn. We'll visit Red Oak II, a formerly decaying early 20th century village that has been completely re-located, piece by piece and preserved in a former cornfield, stop at a couple of vintage service station/museums (possibly including the one where the inspiration for 'Mater, the tow truck in Pixar's CARS movies resides!), and arrive late in the afternoon at the well-know "foodie" destination of Cafe on the Route in -as James McMurtry says - that "one hell-raising town" of Baxter Springs, Kansas. A private dinner and show are ours to enjoy there. Later, we'll head down to nearby Miami ('my-AM-muh'), Oklahoma for the night. The TIN CAN CARAVAN is an eighteen-day road trip down Historic Route 66, led by the master road warrior himself, Fred Eaglesmith. And where Fred leads, we follow. Fred and his band in their bus... and a motley crew of vans, campers, bikes and cars following, over the twists, turns and history of America's most legendary highway. Come for the whole tour, a week-long stretch, or just a day or two. It's all up to you. At least one show daily -public or private- in every state traversed by Route 66. Pick up a day ticket here - it gets you a complete itinerary of the day's journey (, admission to the show that night, advice about where to camp and an entree to the late-night hang out at the campsite. Come be a part of it. The Generic Fine Print: At the time of purchase you will receive a preliminary itinerary. At least 45 days prior to the date, you will receive a fully detailed itinerary. This ticket entitles the individual purchaser to join the Caravan for this date, between the towns listed on the itinerary, and admission to that evening's show (in most cases this will be a public concert, in others it will be a private event). Food is not provided unless specified. Unless an itinerary specifies that admission to a specific en-route attraction is included in the price, you are responsible for that cost (that's so that you're not paying for attractions you may not want to go to). Bill Poss (bill@theginnsisters.com) is doing the research to find out a sweet spot for Caravaners in their own vehicles to spend each night (it will be up to you to make reservations; that way, you can stay at a campground if you want, or at a motel of your choosing - it's all up to you). Bill anticipates a late evening campfire or similar informal get together most nights. Any fees charged by the campground or RV park are the responsibility of the buyer.
