American Airlines Arena

The American Airlines Arena, which should not be confused with the American Airlines Center in Dallas, opened in December 1999, and is located in Downtown Miami, Florida. The American Airlines Arena Miami can be configured into five different arrangements and can house anywhere between 5,000 to 20,000 spectators. Over a decade after it first opened its doors to the public, the American Airlines Arena Miami continues to book some of the hottest and most exciting events on the entertainment calendar.

The American Airlines Arena Miami is home to the NBA’s Miami heat. The WNBA’s Miami Sol also played at the American Airlines Arena from the day they were established in 2000, only finishing their stint there when the team folded in 2002.
