The November Book Review selection is The Power of Habit: Why We Do What We Do in Life and Business, by Charles Duhigg
Knowing that I endorse Mastering the Rockefeller Habits, you know that I also endorse creating great habits to support and enable growth, creativity, and profitability. So it should come as no surprise to you that we are covering this book, which explores why good habits work and how to develop them, and change them.
Here is my summary of the book:
"Human habits seem intractable and inexplicable, as ingrained in our beings as the color of our hair. 'They are so strong, in fact, that they cause our brains to cling to them at the exclusion of all else, including common sense.' But it turns out our habits are quite malleable, companies are getting ever more adept at identifying, co-opting, and shaping our behavior patterns to increase profits."
Doors open at 7:30. Review begins at 8:00. We'll be done by 9:00 AM sharp. Coffee provided.
"The Review and Synk Notes are better than the book!"
