Walking Event:

The 10K trail highlights the many scenic areas of downtown Memphis, Beale St., the Lorraine Motel/Civil Rights Museum, The Bluffs residential area, and the riverwalk along the Mississippi River and is entirely on paved surfaces. Strollers & wheelchairs should have little difficulty but will have to detour a set of steps and one steep hill at the beginning of the walk and a set up steps on the Bluff Walk (continue to end of Bluff Walk, then down to th riverfront near Union). On weekends in May you may need to find alternate parking near Visitors Center. due to Memphis In May Celebration at park along the river. Pets are not allowed inside buildings. 5K trail is the first part of the 10K trail (same Special Programs as 10K). The 5K trail covers the downtown area, Beale St., and a portion of the waterfront.
