U of M Opera presents Hansel and Gretel
The fairy tale opera is magic for everyone: grownups included! Hungry but happy, Hansel and Gretel set out from home to find food, but instead they find themselves lost in the woods—a world of magic and temptation. When the children encounter a wicked witch and her irresistible, sweet house, it will take all their courage and wit to escape her evil clutches and live happily ever after.
The fairy tale opera is magic for everyone: grownups included! Hungry but happy, Hansel and Gretel set out from home to find food, but instead they find themselves lost in the woods—a world of magic and temptation. When the children encounter a wicked witch and her irresistible, sweet house, it will take all their courage and wit to escape her evil clutches and live happily ever after.
Performance is at Harris Concert Hall in the University of Memphis Music Building at 3775 Central. Program starts at 7:30 p.m. General Admission is $10; $7 for non- U of M students and seniors. Admission is free for University of Memphis students, faculty and staff with ID.
