Event details: Beginning Flamenco dance class
Description
Learn the fundamentals of flamenco dance, including basic body stance, footwork, arm and handwork, and palmas (hand clapping). Students will learn choreography and how to clap in rhythm to the music, while also learning about the colorful history of this vibrant dance. No prior dance experience is necessary. Please wear character shoes, or boots/shoes with a thick, wide heel. Women should wear a flamenco skirt or a long, full skirt. Men should wear comfortable pants and a t-shirt. Everyone ages 14+ are welcome to adult classes. Register online or by phone!
