23rd Annual John c Fremont Days

Fremont, Nebraska - The 2009 John C. Fremont Days Board of Directors are proud to announce the 23rd
annual John C. Fremont Days Festival July 10-12, 2009. The Festival is a city wide event with something of interest for all age groups.

The purpose of the festival is to promote and carry out a festival in celebration and remembrance of the
Pathfinder General John C. Fremont, politician, soldier & patriot. The objective of the celebration is to provide entertainment & educational activities for all age groups for visitors and residents alike to attend and to
promote the community of Fremont, Nebraska.

Some of the events are but are not limited to:
Opening Ceremonies @ 5:30pm, Hot Air Balloon Illumination Friday Night, Events Downtown, Sporting Events, Chautauqua Tent, Food Courts, Arts & Crafts Vendors, Larue’s Little Pony Rides, 9 County 4H Fair, all weekend long, Friday & Saturday Night Rodeos, on Saturday, Hot Air Balloon Flight (weather permitting) John C Fremont Days® Auto/Motorcycle Show, Children’s Entertainment on the Green at Midland Lutheran College, SPAM® Recipe Cook-off, Historical Tours, Youth Concert, Antique & Collectors Show, Food
Eating Contests, Beer Festival, & Street Dance Saturday night, on Sunday, Community Worship service,
Guinness World Record™ Attempt: most people running in high heeled shoes, Historical Parade, Avalon, an American Music Award-winning quartet, will perform at 7 p.m. July 12 the Midland Lutheran College Event Center.
