Description
Note from Sue Peppers: My husband sang with the Sacramento Master Singers for 7 years. They are an amazing group - a community choir, all volunteer, who practice diligently to bring this community some of the most amazing choral music you will ever hear. I urge you to pick one of the dates and take your friends and family to this event. If you want to meet with other WHALES there - please arrange it personally (through the email here) with those who RSVP. There are lots of lunch and dinner places in the mid-town area - making this a neat way to make the time to get to know others in our wonderful world of WHALES. A dynamic part of SacramentoÂÂ's arts community, the choir presents six to ten concerts each season, and has received recognition for its artistic excellence. National and area premieres performed by the Master Singers include Benjamin BrtittenÂÂ's A.M.D.G., Arvo PartÂÂ's Te Deum, Robert LevinÂÂ's new completion of MozartÂÂ's Requiem, and Alfred SchnittkeÂÂ's Requiem. The choir is proud of its collaboration with many of the Sacramento areaÂÂ's visual and performing artists, including the Sacramento Philharmonic Orchestra, the Camellia Symphony Orchestra, the Sacramento Youth Symphony, the CSUS Percussion Group, the Sacramento Opera, R.S.V.P. and Celebration Arts.
