Survival Class

Ever wonder what you would do if you got lost while hiking? Ever wonder if you for whatever reason find yourself in the wilderness with nothing but the clothes you are wearing? Ever gotten into a plane accident and you were the only survivor in the middle of the jungle? OK, that was a bit too much, but you get the point. Oh, one more: ever wanted to be Bear Grylls in Man vs. Wild? All right enough!!! :-) We are taking full day and overnight survival class. The class is run if it were a real survival situation. WeÂÂ're going to learn how to make shelter, collect water, make fire without matches, and other skills needed to survive without equipment. Man vs. Wild style! http://i267.photobucket.com/albums/ii306/eduardobrt/ertfds.jpg WeÂÂ'll meet at sunrise on Saturday at the location (to be arranged, but probably in the San Gabriel Mountains) and spend the entire day learning survival skills hands on. Then at night weÂÂ're sleeping in the shelters we will make ourselves! Bring everything you would bring for a backpacking overnight trip. Just for safety. But weÂÂ're going to leave all that to the side and spend the day and night as if we didnÂÂ't have it. But do bring it. WeÂÂ're gonna be in the wild and we want to make sure weÂÂ're safe regardless. There is a limited number of people we can bring so that everyone gets individual attention. If there is enough interest I may do a second trip the following week or something like that.
