Hey all! Let's head over to Cowtown for a tour of the Rahr Brewery. It's a great place to listen to music, and have a couple of beers straight from the vat. The brewery opens at 1pm and parking can be tricky. So, let's all try to be there by 12:30pm. Feel free to bring a blanket or chairs as available seating is at a minimum. Here's some info about the brewery: Brewery Tour The Rahr family has been making beer for generations. In fact, the Rahr family started making beer in the United States before Fort Worth was founded. It started in 1847 when William Rahr immigrated from Germany to Wisconsin and built the Rahr Brewery on the banks of the Manitowoc River. In 2004, his great-great-grandson and namesake, Frederick William "Fritz" Rahr, Jr., and partners followed suit, building the current brewery on South Main Street in Fort Worth. You're invited to take a tour and see how the Rahr brewing team makes beer, check out some cool Rahr memorabilia and best of all, enjoy some cold Rahr beer. Rahr's Tour & Tasting is every Saturday 1pm ÃÂ- 3pm. We feature live music, BBQ and award winning beer. Hope to see you there! Saturday Admission Policy Rahr charges a $5 glass/admission charge for its Saturday Tour and Tasting event. Children are admitted free. We no longer allow dogs - sorry.
