Kennedy Center's Artists as Educators Seminar, "Mapping the Journey: Planning Effective Residencies for Students"

The Ohio 2010 team of the Kennedy Center Partners in Education program invites artists to register for the two-day Artists as Educators Seminar, "Mapping the Journey: Planning Effective Residencies for Students", developed by the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Washington, D.C. In this Seminar, participants consider a residency’s purpose, examine options for design, and select and organize residency components. They leave the Seminar having begun their own residency plan which includes an arts-integrated topic, rationale, a residency description, expected results, responsibilities of the teachers, and an overview of each class or session. This Seminar is appropriate for both novice and experienced teaching artists who are teaching students in classroom settings. The recommended prerequisite is "Laying a Foundation: Defining Arts Integration". Breakfast and lunch are provided. Participation is limited and will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration and fee must be received by May 17, 2019.
