ROBIN HOODS EASTER EGG TRAIL
11am â 3pm daily
Follow this self-guided trail around the visitor centre and woodland to discover lots of ?egg-citing facts about Sherwood Forest and Robin Hood. Complete all the clues and claim your crème egg! £1 per trail leaflet and pencil.
Tuesday 7th April
ACTIVE â 8 SHERWOOD
OUTLAW OBSTACLE COURSE
11am â 1pm and 2pm â 4pm
Get active in the forest on World Health Day whilst having some fun!
Life as an outlaw is hard in the forest, and if you want to join Robin Hoods band you will need to prove that you can survive. Robin has asked the rangers to set up an obstacle course deep in Sherwood Forest to test your skills and stamina. You will need to navigate the course, complete tasks along the way, shoot arrows at the Sheriffs men and make it to the end. Battle against the clock or complete the course just for fun. At the end you will receive a certificate, but more importantly, the respect of Robin Hood and his Merry Men.

WOODLAND CRAFT DAY

Join Samantha for todays have a go? craft workshops where you will make simple natural creations from willow. No one goes away without having created something quite beautiful!
Friday 10th April
MEDIEVAL KNIGHT HOSPITALIER
12 noon - 4pm
Meet medieval Knight Hospitalier Justin De Frais as he rests for a while in the visitor centre after his long journey back from the Holy Land. Listen to his tales of blood, gore and adventure!

?CATAPULT CASTLES PRESENT- HAVE A GO ARCHERY
11am - 4pm each day
Fun for all ages as we invite all budding outlaws to try their hand at longbow archery in the shadow of the mighty Major Oak. Fingers crossed for good weather to make sure this event takes place.
£1.50 for 4 arrows.

RECYCLING ROADSHOW
11am â 3pm
Come along to the visitor centre today to find out how we can all do our bit to create a greener, cleaner planet. Representatives from the Waste and Resources Action Programme (WRAP) will be on hand to answer your questions and provide information on how we can all reduce waste, recycle more and make better use of resources to help tackle climate change.
Monday 13th April
LIFE AS AN OUTLAW
12 noon and 2.30pm
Calling all you budding Robin Hoods and Maid Marians! Have you got what it takes to become a Sherwood Outlaw? Well today, just for the day, you can! Forget about school and learn some lessons our way, the outlaw way! Be amazed as the Oakwood Outlaws demonstrate medieval fighting techniques in the visitor centre and then, if you are brave enough, have a go yourself in the open air theatre.

IN THE FOOTSTEPS OF ROBIN HOOD
12 noon - 1pm and 2.30pm - 3.30pm
Return to the year 1248 and follow in the footsteps of Robin Hood. Journey back through time with one of Robins faithful band, Robert of Wentbridge. He will lead you on a gentle wander through the forest, telling tales of Sherwoods most famous outlaw. Adults £2.50 children £1.
Saturday 18th April
SPRING BIRD WATCH
9.30am -11.30am
Throughout the year over 60 species of birds can be seen in and around Sherwood Forest. Migrant birds that have just arrived from Africa join resident birds in Sherwoods famous trees. April is one of the best months for observing both these groups, just before they become hidden from view by the forests green canopy. Pre-booking is essential on 01623 823202. Meet at the visitor centre gates. Adults £2.50, children £1. Please note no dogs allowed.
Sunday 19th April
MEDIEVAL TIME TRAVELLERS
11.30 am â 1pm and 1.30pm â 3pm
Come along today and meet ?retired outlaws Hob and Ket. Outlaws by name and in-laws by marriage! Listen to their tales of daring exploits and, if you ask nicely, they may tell you how they once saved Maid Marian from a terrible fate!
Sunday 19th April
SHERWOOD FOREST CONSERVATION VOLUNTEERS
Help the rangers look after Nottinghamshires only National Nature Reserve and at the same time have fun, learn new skills, meet new people and get fitter! Well provide the tools, training and the all important tea and biscuits.
Meet at the visitor centre at 10am. (Not suitable for under 14s. 14-18 year olds must be accompanied by an adult)
