Event Info: Daily, Dawn to Dusk. Rated 3 due to hills and altitude of 6,412 ft. Trail is along city streets. Bring your walking sticks and enjoy walking through Manitou's historical downtown and residential area on streets and sidewalks. You will have many beautiful vantage points of Manitou Springs and opportunities to window shop the artistically unique retail stores along Manitou Avenue. The trail is rated a 3, because of some hills and the altitude (6,412 ft). Large wheel strollers can complete the trail. Wheelchairs are not recommended. Pets must be leashed. Restrooms are available at the start/finish. *Functionally disadvantaged trail is along Manitou Avenue and is rated a 3, as not all curbs are ramped. Manitou Springs has an European historic style, with several castle structures. At one point, you can see Red Stone Castle high on a hill overlooking the city; it is now a bed and breakfast. Area attractions include: Pikes Peak Cog Railway, Miramont Castle, Cave of the Winds, and the Cliff Dwellings.
