Yoga for Musicians

1pm to 3pm $20 Become a better musician through yoga, as taught by a yoga instructor/musician! By integrating yoga into your practice routines, you will develop a more focused and concentrated mind for performance. Through practicing yoga techniques, you can develop an awareness of breath and body that can help with any task at hand. Join yoga instructor Zoraida Lopez for a two-hour workshop designed specifically to benefit musicians. The workshop will include exercises to promote relaxation and awareness, balance, posture, breathing, tips on applying the yoga techniques learned to performance and handouts. These concepts present yoga from the musicians' perspective, focusing on the direct relationships between using yoga and creating music. No yoga experience necessary. Zoraida Lopez is a certified Integral Yoga instructor. Zoraida studied yoga and earned her certification at the Integral Yoga Institute in San Francisco, California. Zoraida studied classical piano for over seven years and is an avid music lover.
