Discovered at a talent search by composer/producer Maurice Starr (who had engineered the success of another teenage band, New Edition) New Kids On The Block were a perfect find. A squeaky-clean group of white boys with funk, New Kids were as hip as the Jackson Five and as wholesome as the Osmond Brothers.
