Join us at Islington Mill on Saturday 14th November as we celebrate this unique sound with Audio/Visual experience featuring the classic Italo promo videos & Italian cinema.

Early 80’s Italy... the economy is in a poor state and the US dollar was traded too high against Italian Lira. US & UK record imports were expensive. With the synthesiser, the drum machine and Giorgio Moroder King, the solution was to be found closer to home...
New Italian record labels would try to imitate the sound but to keep costs down; records were made by session musicians and inexperienced singers and released under different aliases.
but all had the talent to create those infectious melodies, catchy hooks and killer choruses.
