Manassas Book Club

The November Meeting of the Manassas Book Club is scheduled for 7:00 p m on Monday, November 23, 2009. The November book is The Lost Symbol by Dan Brown. So this choice is one of the few hard cover and one of the few recently published books we have chosen for our book club because our Book Club refuses to be defined or categorized - we are an eclectic group with a wide range of tastes and fluid choices. or something like that. Anyway, as you all know - Dan Brown's novels - the Davinci Code and Angels and Demons were both successful and were both turned into movies. So perhaps we are not only reading a new novel but also the genisis of a new screenplay. Will the Lost Symbol be found? or will it remain Lost forever? I don't know. But it should be a fun read and I think a good book to discuss. Perhaps we will have a good discussion about all the books we are thankful for in the theme of Thanksgiving. or perhaps not. But it is an idea. Maybe we are just thankful for this book - The Lost Symbol because it will answer all our questions about life, etc.. But maybe not.
