Northern Harriman State Park

We will begin and end this 9+ mile intermediate/advanced hike at Silvermine Lake. Expect many ups (some steep) and downs as we follow the north section of the Menomine tr. to the Long Path headed NE and then cutting South on the Popolopen Gorge connecting to the 1779 tr. and connecting the loop via Black mountain and the AT / Ramapo Dunderberg Trail. Come enjoy Harriman before the spring crowds arrive! Since this dayhike is classified as an intermediate/advamced hike our pace will be brisk and breaks will be short. Bring at least 2 liters of water and a snack or lunch for extra energy. You may need twekking poles and or ice traction.
