ÃÂ"YinFusion YogaÃÂ": A Yoga for strength and tissue health is a practice that blends some traditional Hatha Yoga with elements of Yin Yoga. In Yin Yoga the poses (Asanas) are held longer, there are specific and fewer poses done in one class compared to the yang styles (e.g., Hatha Yoga) of yoga where one pose may be held for as little as five breaths. By holding the postures longer focusing on the deeper tissues of the body (ligaments, tendons, fascia) increased strength (of these tissues and muscles) and energy is a likely outcome. This practice primarily focuses on these elements with less emphasis on flexibility. Therefore, this is a practice for all body types and levels. There is a $5.00 charge to help cover the cost of the studio rental. The practice will be from 7:00-8:00. It is not necessary to RSVP...just show up!
