Description
Daily, 7:00 am - 10:00 pm. Closed Thanksgiving and Christmas. There is 2-hour meter parking 1/2 block from Monty's on Atwood or free unlimited street parking in the neighborhood north (Rusk St or Linden Ave). Walk follows the Isthmus and Yahara River Parkway to one of Madison's earliest neighborhoods, the first city park, shoreline Indian mounds and Olbrich Botanical Gardens (free admission). A portion of the route is on an abandoned rail bed. Route directions include brief descriptions of historical buildings and sites.
