Sno-King Community Chorale presents Musica da Coro: Les Misérables (concert version)
The 100+ voice Sno-King Community Chorale presents a concert version of music from Les Misérables, a musical play adapted from Victor Hugo's masterwork of the same name. The Chorale will sing arrangements of Claude-Michel Schönberg's haunting melodies, with English-language translations by Herbert Kretzmer of original French lyrics by Alain Boublil and Jean-Marc Natel. The songs tell the story of Jean Valjean, a burly 19th century French peasant of abnormal strength and potentially violent nature, and his quest for redemption after serving nineteen years in jail for having stolen a loaf of bread for starving relatives. Featured will be chorale members performing some of the play's best loved songs, joined by the voices of SKCC.
