Americas Best Idea - the national parks - gets even better this summer...its free The National Park Service announces three summer weekends when entrance fees to all 391 national parks will be waived. Were inviting you to come by for a visit, to relax, to learn a little bit about this great nation and to just have some fun. Tough economic times call for economical fun, and you cant beat Americas 391 national parks for family time, fresh air, and opportunities to learn about our great country.

For many years, Franklin D. Roosevelt summered on Campobello Island. As an adult, he shared with his family the same active pursuits he enjoyed on the island as child. Although he visited less frequently after contracting polio, Campobello remained important to FDR.
