Mt. Pierce hike and camp

LOCATION- Mt. Clinton road parking area just off route 302 TIME- 9am WHEN- SATURDAY january 2 2010 TRAILHEAD -crawford connector(crawford path trail) DIRECTIONS-take I-93 north,take exit 35 to merge onto daniel webster hwy/US-3 north toward twin mountain,turn right at darmouth college rd./US-302 east,turn left at mt. clinton road,parking area on your left. If you have any questions or need more detailed directions e-mail me(fsailor2002@aol.com) How to find me-nissan rogue (grey) My cell phone-(978)4217381 Distance from parking lot to Mizpah cutoff(3,380ft) 1.9 miles, approx. 1h.40min.This part of the trail starts climbing gradually and then becomes moderately but steadily till it reaches the mizpag cutoff. Taking Mizpah cutoff trail to Mizpah Spring Hut(3,800ft) 0.7miles,35 min ,climbs the ridge at a moderate grade .Here at the Mizpah Spring hut we will set camp for the night at Nauman tentside,wich leave us with still plenty of daylight.Resuming the hike the next day going up Webster Cliff trail to Mt. Pierce summit (4310ft)0.8 miles approx. 40 min.this part of the trail ascends a steep,rough section with two ladders wich leads to an open ledge with good views,the grade lessens and soon it reaches the summit of mt pierce.from here trhough Crawford Path the trail enters the scrubs and then full woods descending moderately to the parking lot (1920ft)3.1 miles approx. 2h 45min.
