The Louisville Palace was built in 1929, and is conveniently located in the city's downtown theatre district. The historic venue is visually, very striking. Built in the Spanish Baroque style, balconies, turrets and intricate detailing command the attention of any passers-by. Inside is equally as unique, with colors of blue, red and gold, a vaulted ceiling featuring 139 sculptures of famous histroical figures, and another ceiling (in the main theater room) which boasts an imitation night sky.The Louisville Palace is now an established, and highly reputable live music venue, run by industry giants, Live Nation. The combination of the venue's unique design and decor, and its top-notch acoustics and state-of-the-art sound and lighting technology has attracted many big names over the years.
