In October of 1997, five close friends joined hand and heart to breathe life into a newborn entity of melody and emotion. The musical creation was dubbed musica silentis doloris (roughly translated from Latin, music for the silent suffering) , and became the embodiment of their combined passion and inspiration. With haunting melodies, heartfelt aggression, and their powerful stage performance, MSD rapidly obtained one of Kentucky's largest and most devoted followings which would continue to expand each time they claimed the stage.
