A Mighty Stream: Louisville Presbyterian Seminary Annual Luncheon
Henry Clay Building 604 South Third Street, 2nd Floor Grand Ballroom
This years lunch program, A Mighty Stream will features two speakers: Christiana Z. Peppard and Tyler Wigg-Stevenson. Peppard will explore the disjuncture between biblical symbolism of the Jordan river and its current environmental status. She is the Scholarin- Residence at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine in New York City and a doctoral candidate in religious studies at Yale University. Developing the idea of how people of faith can engage the pending water crisis, Wigg-Stevenson will discuss the importance of developing a spiritual practice of holistic, systemic change. He is the founding director of the Two Futures Project and author of Brand Jesus: Christianity in a Consumerist Age.
