SPRINGFEST 2012 in LA CHINATOWN: MUSIC, ARTS AND FOOD

Springfest is an outdoor street festival that brings together all that is eclectic and unique about Los Angeles—from its authentic foodie culture, to its plethora of local music, artists, craft beers and much more. The first annual Springfest, which occurs the same day as CicLAvia, is easily accessible from El Pueblo and Civic Center bike route hubs. Caveman Vintage Music curates the lineup of local bands with scheduled performances by The Sloths, The Blessings, Stephen Sowan, The Finksville 5 and Whispertown. Additionally there will be live art by local artists Megan Stevens, AHHD, Jamie Graden, Jesse Castillo and Victoria Ramirez. Popular Chinatown restaurant Spring Street Smoke House has hand selected the breweries for the outdoor biergarten featuring favorites such as Karl Strauss, Bootlegger’s, Golden Road Brewing and Stone & Lagunitas. Spring Street Smoke House will also host one of its famous rib eating contests where amateur and expert rib eaters can pit their rib-eating skills against others.
