A Four Part Foundation in Photography Series

The Foundations in Photography courses is for new-to-digital photography users. In this series of four courses, students get well past the auto button and learn studio and location lighting as well. Students learn to use the creative relationships of F-stops and shutter speeds, master the ISO triangle, and gain the knowledge to choose the right lens for a given image capture.

Students also master foundations in location and studio lighting and may elect to take post production classes in Lightroom, Photoshop or both. This course grows a student from zero knowledge to command and control of their camera and ultimately frees them to pursue the creative processes and skills.

The Four Courses

The four course series begins with camera basics and ends with a field project that incorporates location lighting. All courses are a full day of learning and practice. Photographers taking the full series practice craft and creative approaches between classes, and quickly master Foundation skills.
