The Burlesque Academy's Level 2 Burlesque Course

Welcome to the world of Burlesque! 

The Burlesque Academy's Level 2 Burlesque Course is a 4-week (90 min. per week) session that will teach you choreography, styling and how to use and incorprate all the essential props including fan dancing (both with hand fans and giant showgirl fans), chair dancing, and using boas and parasols.

About the class...This class runs for 4 consecutive weeks and is the next step to mastering becming your own burlesque starlet. Classes are for those 18 and up and do not require any formal dance training. 

Level 2 covers:

Props including hand fans, giant showgirl fans, parasols, boas and chair dancing. Each week we will learn more about choreography and learn a new routine with each prop.

Introduction to burlesque styling. Students will learn a fundamental showgirl hair and makeup look, including what every starlet should keep in her makeup case, as well as the basics of costuming including how to make your own tassels and shimmy bras and belts. 

Even more character work. Students are encouraged to engage their alter ego throughout the course.

Class goes every Saturday from 2-330pm for 4 weeks starting July 7th.

Please...Make sure you arrive to the class in plenty of time to change if you're planning on it, and be able to start on time. Please bring or wear clothes that are comfortable, easy to move in, and make you feel sexy. If you have a pair of heels you can move freely in, please bring them as well. Tickets are exchangeable but non-refundable. Missed classes may be made up in the next round.
