Raised in Los Angeles as the youngest member of a music-filled household, indie folk singer/songwriter Robert Francis benefited from a diverse musical climate thanks to his pianist/producer father, his sister Juliette Commagere (of L.A. pop/rock outfit Hello Stranger), and his Mexican mother, who sang native ranchera songs around the house. Family friend and acclaimed stringmaster Ry Cooder gave Francis his first guitar at age nine; seven years later, the Red Hot Chili Peppers' John Frusciante accepted Francis as his only guitar pupil. The Wiltern
The Wiltern is located at the Southeast corner of Wilshire Boulevard and Western Avenue.The Wiltern is used for a large variety of events including: rock/pop concerts, dance performances, award shows, television tapings, stage productions, and corporate events.
The Wiltern is a well established landmark in Los Angeles. The historic Wiltern Theatre originally opened on 7 October 1931 and is an excellent example of Art Deco.
Capacity: 2,200 varies depending upon how the floor arrangement is setup.
