Event details: Pin-Up Girls (Play About WWII-Era Burlesque Performers) (...

Description
During World War II, American women started to wear pants... And then there were some women who wore nothing at all! FINAL PERFORMANCE! A Theatre Unleashed Original! Pin-Up Girls follows a troupe of San Francisco burlesque dancers as they encounter the new-found freedom American women discovered during World War II, forcing them to reshape traditional gender roles forever. Writer/director Andrew Moore harnesses the music and style of the time to capture the sexy world of burlesque, creating not just a show, but an entertainment experience like no other! I'll be going to see this play on a Saturday (either November 8th, 15th, or 22nd), and I'll be staying to see The High Jinks Burlesque Show after the play. We'll meet the director and cast after the show. Check back to find out about a Meetup discount! (And to see which Saturday I'm going. But feel free to see the play without me!) -Joe P.
