Hollywood Bowl
The Hollywood Bowl Los Angeles officially opened on July 11, 1922 and was built on top of an old amphitheatre site known as the Daisy Dell. The Hollywood Bowl has a seating capacity of 17,376. The large concentric arches seen over the performance stage serve as the Hollywood Bowl’s signature feature. Though grand, the Hollywood Bowl Los Angeles did not earn its name through its signature arches, instead the term “bowl” was derived from the hillside that the Hollywood Bowl is carved into.The Hollywood Bowl Los Angeles is the second home of the Los Angeles Philharmonic and the primary home of the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra. In addition to their grand instrumental acts, the Hollywood Bowl Los Angeles has welcomed a variety of musical stars. Frank Sinatra, The Beatles, Billie Holiday and Andrea Bocelli are just a taste of the legendary names that have been a part of the Hollywood Bowl schedule.
