Description:
Debilitude, insomnia and lowness of spirits got you down? Weve got the cure for all of your woes! The Saturday Night Rebel Rockers Traveling Circus and Medicine Show featuring the Counting Crows plus special guests Michael Franti and Spearhead and Augustana are coming to the Greek Theatre on Tuesday, July 21. Come grab a musical elixer and enjoy a night under the Big Top! Each band will serve a full set of musical enchantment while also treating audiences to collaborative numbers throughout the evening.
Counting Crows success dates back to their 1993 debut release August and Everything After and the hit single "Mr. Jones." Since then theyve gone on to sell over 20 million albums worldwide, chart eight top 5 singles, and four records have broke the Top 5 on Billboards Hot 200.
Peace and social justice activist and support artists Michael Franti and Spearhead will bring their blend of hip-hop and a variety of other styles including funk, reggae, jazz, folk, and rock to the Greek. The groups newest album All Rebel Rockers (2008) entered the Billboard 200 pop chart in September at number 38.
Augustanas first release All the Stars and Boulevards (2005) reached #1 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart and birthed the hit single Boston. Their follow up album, Cant Love, Cant Hurt, was released in 2008.
