Description:
Jazz/pop trumpeter Chris Botti with special guest Renee Olstead will be coming to the Greek Theatre on July 9 at 7:30 PM.
The popular contemporary-music performer just released Chris Botti in Boston on CD/DVD formats. Chris Botti in Boston features Botti along with a bevy of name artists performing live with the Boston Pops Orchestra at Symphony Hall in September 2008. Fully documented as a concert film and album, the night is an intimate and soulful birds-eye view of the supple-toned trumpeter who has grown into his role as a virtuoso since his time backing up Sting -- who makes a guest appearance in the live performance. Chris Botti in Boston, an extraordinarily luxurious film, captures and accentuates the warmth, excitement, chemistry and spontaneity of the shows.
As one of the top-selling instrumental artists, Botti has sold nearly three million albums worldwide with When I Fall in Love, To Love Again: The Duets, Chris Botti Live with Orchestra & Special Guests and Italia. He maintains one of the busiest touring schedules as he performed in over 250 concerts in 2008.
