Filmmaker Jess Stover will be taking up the same chair that Patrick Stewart, George Lucas and Tom Hanks have shared when she appears live this Wednesday on CU@USC, the #1 university television show in the world to talk about 'Artemis Eternal,' the future of film, this demand and how you can be involved in production. The AAE posse will also demo the sport of parkour. Watch and join the evolution!: http://www.artemiseternal.com

All I know is that if I was put in the same room with Jessica Stover I would thank my lucky stars and suck her brain dry of all the important, intelligent, entertaining information I could suck out. In a non-sucky way.

ArtfulProducer writes: Demand that MOVIE STUDIOS make BETTER FILMS (“TSL”/JM Stover)

-At one time, I read about 60 scripts a week. Thankfully that’s been cut down by promotions and our readers to about 20. Semi-recently I read a script that it killed me to pass on because it didn’t fit our production niche. -It’s one of those you’re glad you read because it renews your excitement in original cinematic storytelling. It’s also one of those scripts that you wish you hadn’t read because it haunts you. Now when someone smart makes it you’ll wish you could have been involved in the production of something big and artful. It also had very impressive concept art with it. I guess I’d equate it with missing out on Star Wars A New Hope or Lord of the Rings. -I figured the least I could do was check out the writer/producer’s – J.M. Stover’s – full package. I looked at the URL to his website and found out he was a girl! Then somehow I quickly found myself as one of her daily readers listening to what other readers had to say about current film and otherwise. I found myself using things like RSS. I think this makes me a nerd. -On her site she abbreviates the film trilogy “TSL.” At the end of the day I’d budget the first film at 100 million. Going off the unspoken rule of the studio model – because it’s not based on a book, comic or other property – I think TSL needs backup and I know Stover has a following. -As an audience you must stop complaining - to tell us what you want you must speak our language - NUMBERS -Just like you and everyone whose opinion I’m reading online I want to see a great genre story that impacts me. I’ll be honest - my company doesn’t make those films yet. We need a project strong and deserving enough to change the model and here it is right on my desk. If people start these Eventfuls all over the world and get their friends to say “YES if you make “TSL” and let them do it the right way then I WILL be there opening day with all my friends” then the numbers will be there. If that works then the door will be open for better quality big-budget story. Then maybe I can bring a different taste to what we here work on and maybe you will start to love film again. - So pass it around and start one for your town. - Or else you can’t say we in Hollywood never try or that no one listens to you. -“Those were the stories that stayed with you.”

So what do you say Los Angeles? Midnight screening at Arclight Dome? TBA after – as Stover puts it – “the undeniable future victory of getting this film made.”
