Barbican Hall
Legendary jazz pianist and composer Chick Corea and Grammy winning banjo virtuoso Béla Fleck present a spectacular evening of funk, fusion and bluegrass
Legendary jazz pianist/keyboardist/composer Chick Corea returns to the LJF for the third year in a row with a trio take on Return to Forever.
Featuring bass hero Stanley Clarke and fusion drummer Lenny White this band remains in vital and fiery form. Multi-Grammy Award winning banjo virtuoso Béla Fleck will then present his new trio of bass guitar demon Victor Wooten and brother Reggie Wooten on percussion, performing their unique 'blu-bop' style that mixes funk, fusion and bluegrass to dazzling effect.
Both bands will combine for a spectacular closing jam.
"Corea is unquestionably one of the most improvisationally fluent and technically commanding jazz pianists ever." Guardian
